Our Business

Sequent Analytics, Inc. is an Illinois corporation founded by Helen Ristov and Nathaniel Loman.  Both Helen and Nathaniel started their careers as data analysts for financial firms.  Sequent Analytics was formed to help satisfy the increasing demand for advanced mathematical programming, model design and analysis.

Who We Are

Helen Ristov, CEO and Founder

Helen Ristov earned her graduate degree in Mathematics at the University of Texas at Austin, studying dynamical systems. 
She currently also works for Discover Financial as a senior risk analyst building marketing eligibility models.  Previously, Helen worked for a financial firm in Austin, Texas as a quantitative analyst collaborating with senior programmers to develop Monte Carlo enabled financial planning tools.

Nathaniel Loman, President and Founder

Nathaniel Loman earned his graduate degree in Statistics at the University of Chicago where he researched innovative algorithmic models in statistical genetics for pediatric leukemia. He also holds a Mathematics degree from the University of California, Berkeley.  Nathaniel currently works for Discover Financial as an analyst in the risk department where he is responsible for building risk and forecasting models.

Tom Zheng, Associate

Tom Zheng earned his graduate degree in Statistics at the University of Chicago where he studied the application of boosting and bagging algorithms to predictions on stock market fluctuations.  He also holds degrees in Statistics and Computer Science from McMaster University in Toronto, Canada.  Tom currently works as a loss forecaster in the credit market.

Aaron Ristov, Representative

Aaron Ristov is a financial advisor, series 7, series 66 and insurance dealer.  He studied business and economics at Eastern Illinois University.  Previously Aaron held consultative sales and management positions in both the financial and software industries.
